Marvel Rivals Spring Festival event guide
The Spring Festival begins on Jan. 23, 2025, at 1 a.m. PT/3 a.m. CT/4 a.m. ET. Unlike some updates, there won’t be any server downtimes beforehand, but you’ll still need to ensure you have the latest patch downloaded. The event will last around three weeks for Season 1, ending on Feb. 14.
While the Spring Festival is active, you’ll encounter the following new features in Marvel Rivals:
- Three new costumes from the Clashing Lions Series
- Clash of Dancing Lions mode
- Fortune and Colors event
- New Gallery Card
Once the Spring Festival goes live, the Fortune and Colors Special Event begins. Complete objectives from this celebration to earn rewards like the new Gallery Card and a free Star-Lord skin. The upcoming Gallery Card, in particular, requires the use of the new Danqing magical dye, which will be a part of specific event challenges. You’ll then unlock the ‘Of Festivals and Friends’ card to accompany the celebration.
What is the new Clash of Dancing Lions mode in Marvel Rivals?
The limited-time mode, Clash of Dancing Lions, brings a Marvel twist to soccer/football in Marvel Rivals. Set in Wakanda’s World Arena, you’ll use your fighting skills to score goals by knocking the ball out of opponents’ hands. Think Rocket League, but with superheroes instead of cars.
According to the Spring Festival patch notes, the mode features a limited roster—you can only play as Iron Fist, Star-Lord, or Black Widow. To maximize your performance, consider practicing with these Duelists ahead of time. Participating in Clash of Dancing Lions is a great way to rack up points and unlock more cosmetics during the event.

- Black Widow – Lion’s Heartbeat
- Star-Lord – Lion’s Mane
Keep in mind that the Spring Festival’s costumes will only be available for a limited time. They’ll be around until the event ends on Feb. 14, so try to at least get the Star-Lord skin by then.
