Jennifer Lopez put all mothers in their feelings recently during an inspiring interview with British Vogue. The mother of two did a sit-down with Dr. Judy Robles, the woman whom she emulated in “Unstoppable.” The pair spoke at length about the upsides and downsides of motherhood. They went on to talk about the challenges of discovering oneself and being present for their children. Also, Lopez noted that her role in the movie is not that different from her everyday life. She also mentioned that while motherhood can be rewarding, it can also be exhausting.
The 2024 movie will star Lopez alongside amazing actors like Don Cheadle, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and many more. In general, it depicts a true story. For a short synopsis, the film centers around a mother and son and their bond. It also tells a fantastic tale about a wrestler, Anthony Robles, born handicapped, who beat all odds. Despite having one leg, Anthony strove to attain greatness in his skills and prove a point. The movie centers on a mother and child’s nexus that faces several trials.
At the beginning of the interview, Dr. Robles asked Lopez a critical question: “How would you describe motherhood in three words?” The latter responded, “In three words, a blessing, challenging, and beautiful.” Furthermore, Lopez explained that motherhood is one of the most challenging jobs ever but also the most important one. Dr. Judy also wanted the “Ain’t Your Mama” singer to explain how the role intersected with their lives.
“I think the most important thing when we first talked was that we’re both moms. That part of it was, I think, the basis of this role, the relationship between you and Anthony, really for me, informed and became the heart and the soul of the film,” Lopez replied.

In addition, Lopez quickly got candid about her experience as a mother while playing the intimate movie. In an unusual twist, the 55-year-old said balancing her life with motherhood is challenging. This is because, as a mother, she always wants to put her best foot forward for her kids. In the movie, a mother does everything she can to make her child’s dreams come true, even if it denies her needs. Lopez says this is an everyday occurrence in her life as a mom to Emme and Max.
