Call of Duty is a game that changes every single year and it seems like we can never get used to a formula for this competitive shooter. Ever died in a match in Black Ops 6 and Warzone just because your character is taking a year to jump over a ledge? For some reason, Black Ops 6 and Warzone gameplay movement mechanics allows you to slide backward but its mantling speed is so damn horrible, which isn’t the case anymore.
In a recent update released for the Squid Games crossover event with Black Ops 6 and Warzone, Call of Duty‘s gameplay has switched back to how it was last year by increasing the mantling speed even when you’re climbing a wall. This gameplay matter has been in the game since the launch of Black Ops 6, and now it’s been much better than it used to be.
Why the fuck are the mantling speeds so fucking slow byu/ixhypnotiic inblackops6
Now to know the importance of it, the best you can do is to play a match of MW3 and try climbing and jumping over the obstacles and see how quickly your character deals with it. Then switch over to Black Ops 6, and see how it goes; still not as good as MW3, but the recent update has saved me a bunch of times while trying to escape the enemy and climb into the houses in Nuketown.
Aside from that, there’s one more thing that I’d really like to be fixed, and that’s the unwanted mantle over the obstacles. Sure, you can go ahead and change some settings to make your character able to jump freely or mantle, which requires pressing the button once or twice. But honestly, I wish there was an automatic way, like, not mantle when I’m shooting? Who wants to do a quick pull-up in front of the opponent while in a gunfight?

The new Black Ops 6 and Warzone update has also brought a lot more than just a mantling speed buff, the most important of which is a brand new Event Pass for the Squid Games crossover. There’s also the Citadelle des Morts swords buff and a bunch of changes here and there, none of which fixes the server and anti-cheat issues in both games.
