It’s usually assumed that Call of Duty is a game developed for controller players with strong aim assist. Now, to be honest, the AA was really strong until last year with MW3. However, Black Ops 6 started nerfing aim assist back in its beta player tests, and now it has removed the rotational AA, but on one particular platform.
Rotational aim assist is the type that activates when enemies in close range move around near your crosshair. So if you don’t even use your controller’s left analog stick, the rotational aim assist helps you track the target, which was quite broken in the recent Call of Duty games while it’s certainly not the case with Black Ops 6.
This happened without above-average players even noticing such a change in their aim in Black Ops 6 and its Warzone integration. If you’re missing more shots now, however, it’s all because the rotational aim assist is either shadow-nerfed, or there’s a huge bug in the game that causes this to happen.

The reason I say this is because the rotational aim assist is only bugged when you’re playing Black Ops 6 on PC. To be more specific, it happens on Battle.Net and Steam versions of the game, while PC Game Pass users can still enjoy their rotational aim assist help even if it’s not as strong as MW3. It’s the same for console players as well.
No Rotational Aim Assist byu/BbyBunnE inWarzone
The Reddit post above shows exactly that, where a player using a controller on PC is not getting any rotational aim assist when the enemy target is moving around their crosshair. Then the other player, seemingly on another platform, does the same, and the rotational aim assist kicks in.
So it’s hard to say whether the developers meant to do this or if it’s a bug, but it sure as hell unbalances the experience. Not giving aim assist all PC players who play Black Ops 6 and Warzone via a controller isn’t fair, and it should be addressed by the developers in the upcoming updates. Speaking of which, it seems like Squid Games and its brand-new CoD Battle Pass event are more important than bugs and cheaters.
