Activision Is Considering A Second Battle Pass For Black Ops 6 and Warzone And Players Are Hating It

Call of Duty is hated for so many reasons right now from the cheaters running around with Black Ops 6 Zombies wonder weapons in Warzone to the various bugs that are stopping the game from being fun. But, Activision has managed to add more to this hating list for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, and that’s a second Battle Pass, or better say, an Event Pass for Squid Games crossover. And with more microtransactions, people are hating this event already.

Reported by Charlie Intel, the news comes all the way from the in-game daily massages of Call of Duty HQ, stating that the Squid Games event coming to the game is going to feature an “exhilarating Event Pass.” What this means is that players will unlock certain rewards by earning XP and progressing through the event like they do in the Battle Pass. This is a model that many might remember from the game Destiny, and now it’s coming to Call of Duty.

The Squid Games x Call of Duty event will also feature a premium version, again like the Seasonal Battle Pass, where players can earn extra rewards among the free ones. Now while we’ve got no idea about the prizes and how this event will change the gameplay in Warzone and Black Ops 6, some people hate it just because it features a premium version similar to the Black Cell, which fans used to call the second Battle Pass a long time ago.

There are many comments like “additional microtransactions,” “Mini passes? What follows is a COD club like Fortnite has?” and “I thought that’s what black cell was for. Thanks Micro$oft. Great” are all over the place under the related posts about this secondary Battle Pass that Activision has just announced for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone.

Now, while I’m definitely not cool with non-related crossovers like Squid Games with Call of Duty, I don’t hate them either. It’s there to be there; if I don’t like it, I don’t play the Squid Games modes, and similarly, I’m not going to buy the premium Event Pass.

However, both games are in a condition that needs more attention from Activision, and that’s what makes these crossovers hated buggies. Warzone and BO6 need better servers, the anti-cheat is still not working properly, and there are many in-game issues to solve.
