Sniper Elite: Resistance will be released on Jan. 30, 2025. However, if you want an early start, you can pick up the Deluxe edition to receive two days of early access (starting on Jan. 28). The exact timing for each launch has yet to be revealed, but depending on your region, we could be looking at a midnight release.

What platforms will Sniper Elite: Resistance be on?

You can play Sniper Elite: Resistance on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscriber, you’ll get access to this new Sniper Elite entry on Day One.

All Sniper Elite: Resistance editions, explained

Sniper Elite: Resistance features two editions: Standard and Deluxe. While Standard costs $59.99 ($49.99 for PC), Deluxe requires a $79.99 purchase. Those who pre-order, whether Standard or Deluxe, get the Target Führer – Lights, Camera, Achtung campaign mission. The quest puts you in a war against Adolf Hitler as he fights his way to the Ville du Lac Film Studios. Work with the Special Operations Executive (SOE) and Resistance to bring him down. There are a few other rewards with both editions, and we’ll break down each one to see what they have to offer.

Standard Edition

  • Those who buy Sniper Elite: Resistance Standard edition will receive the following content:
  • Target Führer – Lights, Camera, Achtung campaign mission
  • Sniper Elite Camo T-Shirt
  • Karabiner 98 Rifle
  • Exclusive Sniper Elite Camo T-Shirt
  • Dredd: Underbelly digital comic
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance digital comic

You’ll get the classic weapon, the Karabinger 98 Rifle, which has been featured in several Sniper Elite entries. The official Sniper Elite page also confirms rewards from the Rebellion Shop Exclusive, with digital comics that dig into the franchise’s lore.

Deluxe Edition

The Deluxe edition is the ultimate Sniper Elite: Resistance experience, packed with exclusive content that takes your gameplay to the next level. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:

Season Pass:

  • 3 Campaign Missions
  • 3 Weapon Skin Packs
  • Target Führer – Lights, Camera, Achtung campaign mission
  • 3 Weapon Packs
  • Character Skin Pack
  • M1911 Pistol
  • Karabiner 98 Rifle
  • 2 Days early access
  • Exclusive Sniper Elite Camo T-Shirt
  • Dredd: Underbelly digital comic
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance digital comic

The Deluxe edition’s three highlights are the M1911 Pistol, early access, and season pass. The pass includes a ton of packs, but it won’t be released immediately. Given that it’s seasonal, you’ll need to wait until it’s launched in-game, which may arrive sometime after the full release.

Like the Karabinger 98 Rifle, the M1911 Pistol has been included in multiple Sniper Elite games, starting with the Sniper Elite V2.

Is Sniper Elite: Resistance connected to Sniper Elite 5?

There’s been some talk around the community on whether or not Sniper Elite: Resistance is considered Sniper Elite 6. Although Rebellion hasn’t necessarily provided any concrete information about this topic, you could more or less see it as the sixth entry. The game’s official page indicates that it parallels the events of Sniper Elite 5, establishing some form of a connection between the two tales. It’s not clear what that connection is exactly, but longtime characters like Harry Hawker will be rejoining the cast in this new storyline.

Captain Hawker will now lead the crew into battle, showcasing a brand-new operator for you to control. Your team’s goal is to find a way to get rid of a new Wunderwaffe that could result in significant losses during the war. Fortunately, you won’t have to face it all alone with Sniper Elite: Resistance’s co-op features. However, it’ll also mean watching your back, as other players can infiltrate your campaign with the return of Axis Invasion mode.
