Morgan Wallen Sentenced To Incarceration After ‘Messy’ Nashville Arrest: ‘He Doesn’t Know When To Stop’

Morgan Wallen officially learned his fate this week. The country music superstar was arrested in Nashville earlier this year after he threw a chair off of the roof of a bar and it nearly hit people standing in the street below. Now, the crooner has plead guilty to the crime and received his sentencing, which includes a short incarceration. However, he won’t be serving any jail time. He’ll be sent to an education center instead.

According to People Magazine, Morgan Wallen appeared in court on Thursday and was sentenced to seven days at a DUI education center by a Nashville judge. In addition to the week-long stint at the center, the singer will also be on probation for the next two years and pay a fine of $350 as well as his court fees.

Morgan’s lawyer, Worrick Robinson IV, revealed that the star has been very cooperative throughout the case. He’s also said to have apologized to everyone involved and has recommitted himself to making a more positive impact in the world through his music as well as his charity endeavors.

Because Wallen pleaded guilty, he has the chance to have the charges dismissed and expunged from his record as long as he complies with the terms of his probation. He was officially charged with three counts of reckless endangerment due to the incident, which took place on April 7.

It seems that Morgan may have gotten a slap on the wrist, as it was previously reported that he could have served up to six years behind bars for the crime. However, it was made clear that it was unlikely the singer would have received the max sentence for his behavior since no one was hurt.

“He made that mess all by himself,” one person quipped on Reddit.

“This guy is messy. Will he ever learn?” another fan commented.

Meanwhile, a source close to the singer claims that he’s a good guy. However, he seems to have a problem controlling himself when it comes to alcohol.

“Morgan is generally a nice, fun person to hang out with, but when he gets going he doesn’t know when to stop,” an insider stated. “Morgan and alcohol is a problem and it’s been a problem that keeps coming back around.”

Wallen has stayed rather quiet since wrapping up his tour in October. He’s been mostly out of the spotlight. He even opted to skip out on the 2024 CMA Awards. At the event, he was given the Entertainer of the Year award. However, he didn’t disclose why he wasn’t in attendance at the event.

Morgan Wallen has been known to be one of the bad boys of country music. He has multiple controversies in his past. However, fans are hoping that he’s finally ready to turn over a new leaf following his recent legal drama.
